"Educational Models" is a video series produced during a two-week residency at the Veli Residency in Bakurtsikhe, Georgia.
On the property of the Veli Residency there was an abandoned former agricultural-technical college from Soviet times. In this building still some teaching materials from that time could be found. Educational models of horses and cows, made of painted plaster, caught my interest.
Around the former technical college, real horses and cows were brought every day to graze. So I decided to place the educational plaster models next to the real animals to film them next to each other or in interaction.
The result is a series of 2 to 3 minute long one-shot videos.
